"Tales from Hans Andersen"
I read about The ugly Duckling, The Little Mermaide, The Emperor's New Clothes and Thumbelina. My favorite story is The Little Mermaide in this book. It is very cute and impression story.
In the middle of the sea the water is very, very blue. Below the water is a strange world of beautiful trees and plants. Fish swim in and out of them. This is the home of the Sea King. His palace is here, under the water. He had six children. These children were beautiful mermaid princesses. The youngest princess was the most beautiful. But mermaids do not have feet. The top half of her body was the body of a girl, and the bottom half was the body of a fish. One day her grandmother said , "Today is your fufteenth birthday.Now you can go to the top of the sea."
The little mermaide swam up above the water that night.
I like the story which a prince and a princess. This story is not happy ending but the story is impressive.
